Composition

A while back Morton wrote quite a few short musicals for children including a Puerto Rican folk tale performed at Lena Park and the Hernandez School, and Pinocchio performed in the Brookline Schools. Some of the more recent songs and shows can be seen elsewhere on this site.

Recently Morton wrote a song about the tennis commentator Bud Collins, two religious songs and a piece about Chelsea New York's extraordinary park on an old subway line.

Morton has written pop and gospel songs, music for instrumets, choral music and many arrangements. Two pieces from the Bible that have been popular are "Rise up my Love" from the Song of Songs and the psalm "L'chu N'ran'na." He has also written and recorded a piece for jazz quartets about a boat trip to the amazon.
